CHANGE

Change is a difficult thing. Change can be good. Change can be scary. Life is full of changes - it is constantly moving forward. We have made the decision to change church families, to move on. It is a decision that came after much prayer, frustration, and heartache. It was a difficult decision for us to make - we love our church family and yet it is time for us to move on - to stretch ourselves spiritually, to submit ourselves to a Godly eldership. Where that will be we don't yet know and so we are in a state of limbo. We don't belong to our old church family and we don't have a new one yet. This is a difficult time for us, as our church family played such a big part in our lives. We worshipped with them for 13 years. I can't believe this is where we are and yet I know God will use this time to grow us. He has already started stretching us.

I will be praying for you, my friend. My family and I have, and are, in the same place your family finds themselves. Ours started almost 3 yrs ago and now we are moving forward again for the temporary church we adopted, the pastor has stepped down and we don't fit anymore. You are right, God will stretch your during this time, even when it feels like you are in the wilderness all alone. However, He is still there and the peace is undescribeable. Be blessed.

May the Lord guide you as you seek a church home. We've been there and done that... 3 years ago. I was just thinking this morning how blessed we are to have closer fellowship in our new group of believers than in any other we've experienced. Change can be good.

I too just traveled this journey this summer and GOd has lead our family to a blessed church where GOd is the center of worship and our family is loved and blessed. Praying for God to guide you to where he wants you.

Thanks to all of you who have given us encouragement. It has been a difficult time, but we know God is in charge and it will work out.

You all will be in our prayers. This kind of challenge can be one of the most difficult we face in life.
