When we purchased our house 7 years ago, I wanted it to be painted yellow with white trim. Well, that wasn't one of our choices from the painter and we would have had to pay extra to have it - - so I didn't get my yellow house. About two years ago our house needed to be repainted (the original job was not very good - the hurry up cheapo job) and so hubby and I painted it. I now have my yellow house, it is the brightest in the neighborhood. Some people think it is a bit too bright but I just tell them that I am not a subdued kind of person.

yes, originally all of us kids thought it was way too bright, but I think we've all gotten used to it. ;)
I like it a lot! Nice curb appeal.
We have several bright yellow houses on our street. It beats gray or taupe, anyday!!
We went with a butter cream color, with sage green and peach trim (to match the peachy tones in our half brick front facade).
I love it. So bright and happy.
We moved into our house 7 years ago too and it is painted a very funky pinky-brown color. A lot of people like it but I don't. I am not a pink person at all. Our house is ready for new paint too and we are doing some remodeling. I am trying to sway my DH over to yellow (he wants tan!) We would be the only yellow house on the street and here in AZ every house is a different shade of brown!! I have wanted a yellow house with white trim for years...maybe finally I will get one :o)
Your house looks adorable!
I love white on yellow! It's one of my favorite house colors. In fact, I painted my bedroom that shade of yellow with white trim.
I like your cheerful-looking house!
I think that almost any house looks good in yellow! Yours does not look too bright at all--just cheery! Our house is yellow too and we love it!
