Word for the Day

Ostensible: 1) apparent; seeming; professed 2) clearly evident - Websters New World Dictionary. The word Ostensibly came up in my reading today of How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler. "The author of a book starts with a question or a set of questions. The book ostensibly contains the answers." pg 92.
